YCM’s Emmanuel Santelli secures well-deserved 5th

IRC European Championship – Bonifacio 4-12 octobre 2025 Emmanuel Santelli (Y.C.M.) signe une belle 5ᵉ place

From 4-12 October Corsica hosted the round island Tour de Corse à la Voile, one of the highlights of the Mediterranean season which this year was also the IRC European Championship. Organised by Yacht Club de Bonifacio, under the aegis of the French Sailing Federation and the Corsican Sailing League, this no-holds barred, non-stop, 250-nautical-mile race around the “Beautiful Isle” saw extended tactical tacks, calm zones and close-run passages along the Corsican coast.

Cape 31 Med Circuit 2025

Yacht Club de Monaco members on the Cape 31 Med Circuit 2025 produced some excellent results in this championship that attracted over 20 teams from 16 nations to the five events held between Hyères, Porquerolles, San Remo, Imperia and Palma.

J/70 Cup 4th Event - Italian Championship – Porto Maurizio

At Porto Maurizio in Liguria the fourth stage of the J/70 Italia Cup enjoyed three days of challenging sailing, with two teams on the start representing Yacht Club de Monaco.

A vintage year for YCM members

Sur le plan d’eau des classiques, le spectacle était ailleurs, mais l’intensité la même. En Big Boat, Mark Dixon (Elena of London) a signé une belle deuxième place, derrière Cambria. Une semaine menée tambour battant, où la goélette a retrouvé sa superbe. Argynne III s’impose en Classique Marconi A après une régate exemplaire, tandis que Angelo Mazzarella (Carron II) prend la 6e place Epoque Marconi A. En Grand Tradition, Carlo Falcone et Mariella accrochent la 6e place, toujours fidèles à leur style sobre et efficace. Enfin, Kostia Belkin hisse le plan Fife Viola sur le podium en Époque Aurique A, à la 3e place, confirmant une saison remarquable pour le voilier centenaire.

The 27th Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez concluded after a full-on week of racing, with crews experiencing hesitant breezes, choppy waters and tight starts. Yacht Club de Monaco members more than held their own, often in the vanguard and always in with a chance.

Two days and 11 races on a beautiful stretch of water facing Antibes’ ramparts delighted 52 teenagers, aged 12 to 17, all sharing the same passion for sailing. The 3rd IBSA Regatta, the only international competition for young people with a disability, again lived up to expectations ashore and at sea.

orty-nine crews numbering a total of 200 sailors from 13 nations descended on Yacht Club Porto Rotondo in Italy which hosted the RS21 World Championship at the end of September. The atmosphere was electric as this relatively new class reached another milestone in 2025, with this its most international and competitive event to date.

The 47th Régates Royales de Cannes lived up to expectations with over 120 classic sailboats at the meeting. For a week, the bay of Cannes was blessed with light winds gusting over 20 knots to produce an exciting spectacle full of suspense.

3rd place for Alegre

52 SUPER SERIES – PORTO CERVO – RANGE ROVER

After a week of changeable Sardinian conditions, YCM member Andres Soriano and his crew on Alegre left Porto Cervo with a well-earned 3rd place.

After a solid start to the regatta, including 3rd in the second race, the YCM-flagged TP52 raced with impressive consistency. In a Mistral blowing over 25 knots, Andres Soriano and his men even led the fleet in the provisional ranking before ceding to Sled who went on to win the event.

The Swan Tuscany Challenge, fifth stage in the Nations League 2025 by ClubSwan Racing, drew to a close in Marina di Scarlino. For five days, Tuscany hosted 25 teams representing 12 nations putting on a show where strategy, talent and a competitive spirit were expressed at the highest level.

The international Cape 31 fleet were in Palma for Round 5 of a season that just keeps on racking up the tension. Teams were tested to the nth degree by varied conditions during eight hard-fought races in this demanding yet spectacular format.
